What you need at first
To set up Pokemon Go on PC 2018, you must find all the necessary tools, including:
- BlueStacks – you need to download this app directly from a trustworthy source.
- KingRoot – This app permits you to get root access to Android devices.
- Lucky Patcher – This app allows to direct app permissions that are installed on your device.
- Fake GPS Pro – This app is described as an important part of this guide because it allows you to keep “moving” when playing without really doing so. Just note that you have to pay $5 when downloading it. Although you can find the APK file for free, the reliability is not.
- Pokemon GO APK . But, only run or install it after completing the above steps or it doesn’t work.
How to set up Pokemon Go on PC 2018?
Step 1 – Install BlueStacks
After downloading and installing BlueStacks, you need to create a Google account to link to the game quicker later.
Step 2 – Install KingRoot
Installing KingRoot should be done on BlueStacks only.
- Open BlueStacks and find the APK symbol on the left.
- Click on it to open the respective APK file on your PC.
- Then the KingRoot will install automatically.
- Later, run this app, scroll to the bottom, hit buttons “Try it” and “Fix now.”
As seeing Security Index, please click Optimize now and close the app because you won’t use it again.
Step 3 – Restart BlueStacks
Seek for a cogwheel in the top-right corner of the app interface and choose Restart Android Plugin to make BlueStacks restart itself. Make sure you remember this step since you will redo it a litter later.
Step 4 – Install Fake GPS Pro
Installing this app is also similar to performing KingRoot through the BlueStacks.
In case you get a different version of BlueStacks, the next step is to copy the Fake GPS files on the Windows storage to BlueStacks. By clicking the Folder icon right below the APK icon, you can do with ease.
Next, look for and select Fake GPS on BlueStacks and then BlueStacks will automatically copy all the requested files. Later, close the selection window by hitting a random place in the background.
Step 5 – Install Lucky Patcher
This process works the same as for KingRoot and Fake GPS Pro. Just hit APK on the left-hand side of the BlueStacks, choose the APK file on the PC, and it will install. Keep in mind when opening this app for the first time, you need to click Allow to grant its process.
After that, access Lucky Patcher and find Rebuild & Install in the bottom right. Next, go to sdcard -> Windows ->BstSharedFolder. After that, choose the APK file for FakeGPS and Install as a System App.
Lastly, remember to confirm YES to install.
Step 6 – Install Pokemon GO
Please recheck the KingRoot and Lucky Patcher whether they are installed correctly before installing and running Pokemon Go on PC 2018. Or this app won’t work yet.
Step 7 – Examine location settings
Tap on the same Settings icon on BlueStacks and enter Location to ensure the Mode is set to High Accuracy.
In addition, you should disable the Windows GPS service, or it can mess with BlueStacks. If your PC is Windows 10, please access the Settings app -> Privacy -> Location and then choose Off.
Step 8 – Set up Fake GPS
Let’s turn back to Lucky Patcher and search for Fake GPS in the list of apps. In case you don’t see it, just go to Search at the bottom, choose Filters in the top right, check System Apps, and click Apply.
After selecting Fake GPS from the list, continue tapping on Launch App to open a “How to operate” window. Make sure to read all carefully to know how to use before clicking OK.
Then choose the three-dotted button in the top right, enter Settings, check Expert Mode and click OK. Continue clicking the back arrow in the top left to turn back to the map and pick up your favorite location. After that, click the entry and Save.
Play Pokemon GO
After completing all 8 steps above, it’s time to play Pokemon GO on PC 2018. Now, you can see yourself on the fake location as soon as you play this game on your desktop or laptop.
In case your chosen location isn’t getting detected, remember to turn back to Fake GPS Pro through Lucky Patcher to select another fake place. But, avoid picking another area that is too far away from the previous one, or this can reveal your GPS spoofing.
The final note you should bear in mind is that you don’t have to turn off the camera. Whenever detecting the first Pokemon, the app will ask you to turn off AR mode and just confirm YES so that you can catch the Pokemon in the virtual world.
